Guava

 

GUAVA (Psidium guajava)

Brazilian guavas, sweet and fragant, are not only delicious but also contain more vitamin C than most citrus fruits. They have a pale greenish yellow skin, round shape with a soft white or light pink flesh. Its average weight ranges from 120 to 150gr per piece. Guava can be eaten raw (the seeds are edible, too) or as part of a fruit salad. It's also very much used in jams.

AVAILABLE all year round - there's a relative lack in july and august.
