KUMQUAT (Fortunella margarita)

The only fruit from de citrus family, whose skin can be eatean. Native from China and Japan, with an oblong shape, the variety Nagami has a pungent sweet skin and tart pulp. The versatile little kumquat also excels in seafood, poultry, fruit, and vegetables salads, stuffing and savory sauces, salsas and creams, drinks , and jellies. They reach the ideal ripeness stage, when they are full yellow.
